A Manitowoc man is facing charges after his girlfriend reported seven years of abuse.
The victim and a friend met with an officer at the Manitowoc Police Department, where she claimed her 32-year-old boyfriend had abused her throughout their seven-year relationship.
She specifically pointed to three incidents that happened over the past two weeks.
The first incident allegedly occurred on January 29th, which is when the suspect reportedly grabbed the victim’s arm, resulting in visible injuries to her arm.
A few days later, a similar situation occurred, again resulting in visible injuries.
Then, while watching the Super Bowl, the victim asked the suspect to stop looking at his phone, which resulted in a verbal argument that escalated to a physical confrontation.
The suspect allegedly pushed the victim to the ground, once again causing visible injuries.
All of the injuries were documented with photographs.
The victim also voiced concerns about the man being a part of several Facebook groups dedicated to viewing photos of children.
The officer taking the report did note that none of the photos on the pages were sexual in nature.
After taking the report, the officer spoke with the suspect at his residence in the 3800 block of Rock Street, where he admitted his involvement in the altercations.
He was arrested on three counts, each of Simple Battery and Felony Bail Jumping.
Investigators are currently looking through the suspect’s phone to potentially obtain evidence of possession of child pornography.
