Two individuals, Jesus Miera from Chippewa Falls and Krista Buckwalter from Rice Lake, have received probationary sentences for orchestrating a staged armed robbery at Jacobson’s Ace Hardware in Rice Lake back in 2022.
Buckwalter, an employee at the store, collaborated with Miera to simulate a robbery, evidenced by a series of incriminating phone calls between them prior to the incident.
In addition to probation, the duo has been ordered by the court to reimburse the stolen amount of $1,400.
