A suspect is in custody after an armed robbery and a high-risk traffic stop.
According to a report on WBAY TV in Green Bay, the West Bend Police Department informed the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office of an individual they believed to be involved in an armed robbery they were investigating.
The suspect, whose name has not yet been revealed, was believed to be living in Campbellsport, so a team of deputies and SWAT personnel were sent to the residence.
While officials were working on getting a warrant for his arrest, the suspect, who had recently been released from prison, left the residence.
Police then conducted a high-risk traffic stop as he was believed to be armed and dangerous.
However, the stop went smoothly, and the suspect was taken into custody without further incident.
