Three Manitowoc Lincoln Football players are setting sail into college football.
In front of a crowd of fellow players, family, and coaches, Gavin Lettenberger, Evan Vogt, and Kenton Beasley signed their letters of intent to play football at various colleges.
Gavin tells Seehafer News is going to UW Lacrosse because of the winning tradition they have established “to go along with the beautiful area in general. I like to be outdoors, skiing, fishing, and stuff. I think all that together is very exciting. I just couldn’t pass it up.”
Gavin also said that he is very excited to get started because he has heard a lot of positive things about playing college ball.
He will also be studying business.
Evan, meanwhile, will be going to UW Platteville, and he says he is feeling a big sense of relief.
“I’m very satisfied with the quality of the program,” he said. “(It’s) an engineering school, and I am going to be an engineer, so it fits me very well.”
He was also very happy to be able to sign his letter with Gavin, as they were the heart and soul of the linebacking corps for the ships this year, combining to make 100 tackles.
On the offensive side of the ball, Kenton Beasley is going just 20 minutes away from home, as he will be playing for Lakeland University.
“I just want to feel like I’m wanted…and they were the first team to come to me,” he explained. “It’s a good school. I like everything that is going on there. They are building everything up again.”
On top of playing ball for the Muskies, Kenton will be studying nursing.
