
The Reedsville boys basketball team put up a valiant effort, but they were no match for St. Mary Catholic last night (February 8th).
The Panthers lost at the home of the Zephyrs 84-57. St. Mary Catholic took a nine-point lead into the break and poured it on in the second half to secure the 27-point win.
Ben Prochnow had a good night individually, as he scored 23 points and dished out six assists, but he was the only Panther to score in double digits.
Leading the game in scoring was the Zephyrs’ Braeden Brenn, who went off for 29 points on the night, including going 10 for 12 from the free-throw line.
Reedsville falls to 13-7 on the year, 7-3 in the Big East North, while St. Mary Catholic improves to 15-6 and a perfect 8-2 in league play.
Up next for the Panthers is another road game, this time in Mishicot next Tuesday.
