On the evening of March 2nd, the esteemed Lakeshore Wind Ensemble, conducted by Jeremiah Eis, will present their concert titled “Honor and Remember.”
This performance is a tribute to the ensemble’s 40-year legacy and a remembrance of past members who have significantly contributed to its history.
In a poignant acknowledgment, the ensemble will posthumously honor Dennis Kosloski, a founding member and stalwart in the local arts community, with the Wesley Temple Community Service Award in the Arts.
The concert will further be graced by the return of Manitowoc’s own Emily Kosloski, the daughter of Dennis Kosloski. Emily, now a Los Angeles-based singer and television actress, will perform on the Capitol stage, enchanting the audience with renditions of “I Dreamed a Dream” and “Bring Him Home,” “Ave Maria,” and “Someone to Watch Over Me.”
Commemorating 30 years of friendship with Manitowoc’s Sister City, Kamogawa, Japan, the ensemble will perform pieces from the cultural exchange, including the iconic Super Mario Bros. theme and a medley from the beloved Japanese fantasy film “My Neighbor Toronto,” which has achieved an iconic status in Japan and around the world.
