Katie Koch, a 35-year-old Milwaukee mother involved in a case dubbed the “house of horrors,” has been sentenced to ten years in prison.
The sentencing comes after police discovered Koch’s two children wandering the streets last July, reportedly covered in filth and injuries.
Their residence was described as a scene of squalor, lacking basic amenities like running water and strewn with trash and excrement.
Koch, expressing remorse, attributed her previous lack of awareness to now being medicated. Her boyfriend, also implicated in the case, awaits trial.
