An 18-year-old babysitter from Sussex is slated for trial after being accused of killing a family pet.
Prosecutors allege that Kielee Sonnemann fatally stabbed a chihuahua with scissors and subsequently placed a bag over the dog’s head.
The deceased animal was discovered concealed under blankets in a child’s room inside the residence the following day.
Sonnemann faces charges of animal mistreatment resulting in death as the legal process unfolds.
