Charges have been filed against an Augusta woman accused of embezzling nearly $12,000 from her church.
Jessica Aichele, whose spouse served as the treasurer of the Morning Star Lutheran Church in Fairchild, is implicated in a scheme where several checks went missing and were subsequently cashed by Aichele amidst marital estrangement.
Currently free on bond, Aichele awaits further legal proceedings.
