Wisconsin students engaged in a global robotics program are urging state lawmakers to allocate funding for program expansion.
Participants from “FIRST,” a nonprofit initiative focusing on tech education from kindergarten through 12th grade, showcased their robotics projects at the Capitol Rotunda.
Whitewater High School junior Maddison Lahaie emphasized the need for approximately $70,000 annually to sustain their team’s activities, often reliant on small grants and sponsors.
Their push for increased state funding aims to broaden program accessibility to underserved communities across Wisconsin.
