A former daycare worker in Chippewa County has entered a plea of no contest in a child abuse case.
Lyndcey Jordheim was accused of forcefully dropping a 2-and-a-half-year-old child, causing them to strike their head on a metal door frame at Spots and Stripes Early Learning Center in Bloomer.
Jordheim has been sentenced to six weeks in jail and three years of probation.
The incident serves as a reminder of the responsibility entrusted to caregivers in ensuring the safety and well-being of children under their care.
