For the second time this season, the Reedsville boys basketball team took on Manitowoc Lutheran and walked away with the win.
The final score last night in Reedsville was 70-63 in favor of the Panthers.
The contest was knotted at 37 at the half, but a strong defensive effort down the stretch earned Reedsville their 13th win of the season.
Sophomore Ben Prochnow had a mammoth night, scoring 35 points for the home squad, including a 14 for 16 performance at the free throw line, while also dishing out 9 assists. Arden Strenn also had a good night, netting 15 points.
The Lancers ushered in a more balanced attack, with Caden Stanzel netting 14 points, Derek Laabs adding 13, and Wesley Hecker tallying 10.
Both teams now sit at 13-6 on the season, with Reedsville gearing up for another home game this Thursday.
It will not be a cakewalk as the 14-6 Zephers of St. Mary Catholic come to town.
Manitowoc Lutheran, meanwhile, will be in Hilbert Thursday as the Lancers look to end a two-game losing streak.
