Wisconsin lawmakers are considering legislation to criminalize protests outside judges’ homes in the state.
Under the proposed law, picketing, parading, or demonstrating near a judge’s residence with the intent to disrupt the administration of justice would constitute a Class A misdemeanor.
This offense carries a maximum penalty of a $10,000 fine and/or eight months’ imprisonment.
The measure is part of broader efforts to enhance security for judges in Wisconsin.
