
A man was arrested over the weekend after he allegedly threatened pedestrians with a knife.
The Appleton Police Department reports that officers were dispatched to the area of North Richmond and West Franklin Streets just before 5:00 p.m. Saturday (February 3rd) on a report of a man on a bike threatening passersby.
The man was said to be wielding an edge weapon. When officers arrived, they found the man inside a nearby business.
When the officers approached the man, he reportedly reached toward his waistband but was subdued.
The unnamed individual was taken to a local hospital to be checked out as he was said to be acting erratically.
Charges are being referred to the District Attorney’s office.
