
They may have come in 5th as a team, but several Manitowoc Lincoln swimmers fared well at the FRCC Conference Meet over the weekend.
In the team standings, Bay Port came out on top, followed by Ashwaubenon, Sheboygan North, Green Bay United, Manitowoc Lincoln, Pulaski, and Sheboygan South.
Drew Crees had a great meet for the Ships, earning a first-place finish in the 100 freestyle and a 3rd place finish in the 50 freestyle, with teammate Ayden Theel coming in 9th, and he was a part of two relays that finished in the top 10.
The 200 freestyle relay team, comprised of Creer, Porter Fencl, Alexander Haas, and Connor Paltzer, came in 3rd, while the 400 freestyle relay, comprised of Theel, Haas, Crees, and Micha Stacovak, was 6th.
Speaking of relays, the 200 medley relay of Stacovak, Paltzer, Theel, and Fencl came in 8th, while Stacovak also finished 7th in the 100 backstroke and 10th in the 100 butterfly.
Porter Fencl ended the night with two 5th-place finishes. One was in the 200 individual medley, and the other was in the 100 breaststroke, where he was followed closely by Paltzer.
