The Manitowoc Police Department has released a video of an individual attempting to stealing from a car, and are asking for the public’s help.
In the video (which can be seen below), an individual wearing a black hooded sweatshirt or coat, grey sweatpants, and black shoes walks up to a car parked in a driveway, and attempts to open the door.
Seeing it was locked, the individual walked away.
Moments later, another individual appears to be taking cash from a wallet while walking in the same direction as the first man, and tosses the empty wallet on the ground before running toward the first individual.
A third suspect is also seen walking in the same direction a short time later, and all three are believed to have been involved in a string of thefts from vehicles.
The incidents all occurred on Friday in the 800 block of North 5th and North 6th Streets, the 800 block of Lincoln Boulevard, the 2100 block of Lexington Drive, in the Wilson School Parking lot, in the 1700 block of Wisconsin Street and other streets in the area.
Callers with information leading to the arrest of the person(s) responsible for these thefts could become eligible to receive a reward of up to $500 by calling Crime Stoppers at (920) 683-4466 or by utilizing the P3 App.
Tipsters may remain anonymous if they choose.
