WOMT Radio got its start in the Mikadow Theater in Manitowoc 98 years ago, and last Friday, it returned to the iconic theater for a sold-out live show.
The Jim and Rick Show Live from the Mikadow Theater was a rousing success, as the hosts discussed topics like marriage, artificial intelligence, and the history of the theater.
Co-host Jim Medley called it an amazing experience.
“Such a wonderful sight to see the Mikadow Theater once again filled with people laughing, enjoying themselves, and having a great time,” he said. “It was just a perfect night.”
Co-host Rick Sawyer enjoyed hearing the audience respond to the questions.
“We had a question and answer period, and I love talking with people anyway, and getting their response to us, and asking us personal questions,” he explained. “It was a lot of fun.”
Seehafer Broadcasting Vice-President Terry Stevenson said, “I am truly thankful for the dedication from my team as well as the sponsorship support from Nicolet Bank. It was an honor being at The Mikadow Theatre, the birthplace of WOMT Radio, and we are looking forward to other ideas and opportunities at the theatre.”
