A fire in a home in Sheboygan Thursday (January 25th) was said to have stemmed from a fireplace.
Fire crews were dispatched to a home in the 600 block of Pier Drive just before 12:30 p.m. on a report of smoke coming from the fireplace.
The first crews on the scene were able to locate the source of the smoke, which was in a wall above the fireplace.
Firefighters opened up the wall both inside and outside of the home and quickly extinguished the flames.
No other parts of the building were affected, and all residents were able to continue living there.
There were no injuries reported, and while the cause is still under investigation, the incident caused an estimated $10,000 in damage.
