The price for a home in Manitowoc County has gone down over the past year, but that figure rose over the past month.
According to the recent home sales report from the Wisconsin Realtors Association, the average home in Manitowoc County sold for $184,400 in December of 2023.
That is $6,000 less than the same month a year prior but $14,000 higher than in November.
The number of sales reflects the difference, as nine fewer homes were sold in December than in November, and four fewer homes were sold when compared to December 2022.
These homes are spending significantly less time on the market as well, with the average home selling in 54 days last month compared to 78 days a year prior.
The average price around the state was the opposite.
The $271,000 average price tag last month is $20,000 higher than last year and $9,000 less than in November.
However, the sales are down in both comparisons as well, with roughly 300 fewer homes sold than last year and roughly 350 fewer than in November.
