A woman accused of killing an inmate in the Taycheedah Correctional Institution claims that she heard voices that told her to do it.
27-year-old Taylor L. Sanchez is facing a charge of 1st Degree Intentional Homicide for the killing of Cindy Schulz-Juedes at the jail located northeast of Fond du Lac.
The victim was found in her cell on July 19th, 2023, and was said to be unresponsive in a pool of blood.
A criminal complaint, which was just filed this week, states that Sanchez told investigators that she had stopped taking her medications and was “hearing voices telling me to kill her.”
Sanchez also said that she believed Schulz-Juedes was using her toothbrush to scrub the toilet and other items to wipe the floor.
She also admitted to killing Schulz-Juedes to another correctional officer and to her mother while on the phone.
Schulz-Juedes was in prison for her conviction in the death of her husband in 2006, while Sanchez has a long list of previous cases in Kenosha County.
