Thieves have been targeting two specific makes of cars in Oshkosh.
The Oshkosh Police Department is reporting an influx of reports of thefts and damage to Hyundai and Kia vehicles in the city.
Investigators have responded to several such calls in recent weeks, leading the Oshkosh Police Department to issue a reminder to all car owners.
As always, lock your car, never leave the keys inside, and park in a well-lit area near video surveillance.
The Department also suggests people purchase steering wheel locks, tire locks, a GPS tracker, or other security devices if they are worried.
Anyone who owns a Kia or Hyundai is encouraged to call the manufacturer to see if their vehicle qualifies for any theft deterrent software or hardware.
