A recent report by the Calumet County Sheriff’s Office indicates that aggressive drivers are causing issues.
The law enforcement agency noted on its Facebook page that the number of crashes linked to aggressive drivers rose from 29 in 2022 to 40 last year.
That is an increase of 39%.
Additionally, those crashes resulted in two deaths and 19 injuries, both of which are higher than in 2022.
In an attempt to combat the issue, the Sheriff’s Office is reminding drivers to calm down when behind the wheel and to slow down.
Other safety tips include not following too closely, only passing when it is legal to do so, and making sure you are paying attention when behind the wheel.
The Department also issued a plea for everyone to “drive safe and to be courteous to your fellow drivers.”
