In the ongoing Slender Man case, Morgan Geyser, the second young woman involved, is once again seeking release from the state mental hospital where she has been held for the past five years.
Geyser’s attorneys recently appealed to a Waukesha County judge, asserting that she has made progress in her mental health and no longer poses a threat.
Geyser, who was just 12 years old in 2014 when she and Anissa Weier lured a friend into the woods and nearly stabbed her to death, had made similar requests in previous years.
Weier was released from the state hospital in 2021.
