After nearly five decades at Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry, President Bob Braun has announced he is retiring.
Braun began his career at WAF 46 years ago, and his final day will be at the end of June. Until then, he will be president-emeritus and focus on business development and the transition to a new president, who will be Pat Meredith.
He has been in the industry for 40 years and joined WAF after the company acquired Wabash Casting in 2021.
CEO Sachin Shivaram called Braun “the living embodiment of the type of home-grown ingenuity, grit, and vigor that drives American manufacturing.”
Shivaram wished Braun well in his retirement before welcoming Meredith to the role, noting his “strong background in our industry” and the role he played in the “positive trajectory of Wabash since the acquisition.”

Pat Meredith
With Meredith stepping into this new role, his current position of Vice President & General Manager at Wabash Castings will be assumed by Eric Terrell.
