A Two Rivers City Council member wants Council President Adam Wachowski to step aside after a Facebook post about purchasing two police cars.
The Two Rivers News and Information Page post (which can be read below) is about how Two Rivers paid for two police vehicles.
The city borrowed $120,000 to pay for them.
At Monday’s meeting, Councilmember Tracy Koach said the post had some incorrect information and said it violated the city’s code of ethics.
Councilmember Darla LeClaire called it a bad situation.
Still, she’s concerned about why the post was written as a “rant” and said she’s lost the respect of Wachowski and Councilmember Jeff Dahlke, who also commented on the Facebook post.
LeClaire later exclaimed, “And quite frankly, Adam, I think you should step aside and give the gavel over because I’ll tell you what, right now, I wouldn’t be in a foxhole with you.”
Wachowski told Seehafer News yesterday that he has no plans to step down and didn’t commit any code of ethics violation because how he feels about the issue in previous committee meetings is well-documented.
You can watch the meeting on the the Two Rivers Youtube Cannel.
The comments begin at the 12:34 mark.
