A legislative effort is underway at the Wisconsin Capitol to designate college campuses as gun-free zones.
Democratic State Representative Deb Andraca introduced a proposal to include colleges and universities in the list of places where firearms are prohibited.
While elementary and high schools are already covered, Andraca argues that college students deserve the same level of protection, allowing them to learn without the fear of someone having a gun.
