Following an overnight house fire in Durand, four individuals were transported to a local hospital.
Sheriff’s dispatch audio reported the fire just after 2:00 a.m., with a deputy describing heavy smoke and flames emanating from a window.
Durand Emergency Medical Services requested a helicopter, which was unable to fly, prompting ambulances from Eau Claire to respond.
There is currently no update on the condition of the four individuals affected by the fire.
