The Green Bay Police Department has identified the man who was killed in early December.
30-year-old Michael Hubbard was killed on December 9th inside the home of 45-year-old Owen Backus, located on Western Avenue.
According to police reports, Backus returned home to find Hubbard rearranging his home and painting.
Backus reportedly took a shower and then attacked Hubbard with a wrench and a glass pitcher before hog-tying him and choking him with a cable.
Backus claimed self-defense but has been charged with 1st Degree Intentional Homicide.
He is due back in court on February 13th.
