The eagerly awaited ruling in the case of 10-year-old Lily Peters’ murder is anticipated later this month.
The presiding judge has announced intentions to deliver a decision by the end of January regarding whether the teenage suspect involved in Peters’ death will face trial in adult court.
The murder, which occurred in April 2022, has experienced delays within the Chippewa Falls court system.
Shifting the trial to adult court could result in a more severe sentence for the suspect, who was 14 years old at the time.
