Ozaukee County prosecutors have determined that a deputy had no alternative but to shoot and kill 29-year-old Christopher Sewell in October.
District Attorney Adam Gerol stated on Saturday that no charges will be filed against the deputy, who shot Sewell seven times, including once in the head, after a chase.
According to Gerol, Sewell’s actions, including pulling out a gun during the pursuit, left the deputy with no choice but to use lethal force.
