The Chamber of Manitowoc County is looking for additional volunteers for the upcoming Career Expo Workforce event, happening this coming Tuesday, January 9th, at Lakeshore Technical College.
They are looking for people to discuss in numerous areas, including Arts/AV/Technology, Business Management & Finance, Hospitality & Tourism, Human Services, Information Technology, STEM, Transportation, Distribution, & Logistics.
The Career Expo, in collaboration with Lakeshore Technical College, is a chance for high school students in Manitowoc County to explore different career fields.
They’ll be able to learn from professionals in the field they’re interested in.
Early exposure to career opportunities prepares students better for training programs and the workforce.
Plus, it’s a great chance for your business to show local students the careers available in their area.
Volunteers essentially need to chat with students about what their career entails.
It isn’t a formal presentation, and there will also be 3-5 other professionals in each career field.
