Progressive activist Kirk Bangstad filed a lawsuit on Friday seeking to prevent former President Trump from appearing on the Wisconsin ballot.
Initially presenting a 14th Amendment challenge to the Wisconsin Elections Commission, Bangstad’s bid was rejected.
He contends that Trump’s statements on January 6th, 2021, disqualify him from being on the ballot.
Bangstad hopes to escalate the case to the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
