A Sheboygan couple was found dead in their home yesterday morning (January 3rd).
According to the Sheboygan Police Department, officers were dispatched to a home in the 500 block of Euclid Avenue at around 10:40 a.m. to conduct a welfare check.
The couple’s neighbors told police that they hadn’t seen the couple since Monday and that there was a note taped to the mailbox.
The responding officers found the note, along with a key to get into the residence.
When they went inside, the bodies of a 66-year-old man and his 69-year-old wife were found, having died from gunshot wounds.
Another note was found indicating instructions for funeral arrangements.
While the incident is still under investigation, the public is not believed to be in any danger.
