An apartment building in Green Bay caught fire Monday afternoon (January 1st).
Green Bay Metro Fire reports getting a call about the fire at around 1:30 a.m. and immediately sent crews to the building on 9th Street.
The fire was quickly extinguished, but not before one individual was injured, requiring a trip to a local hospital.
The cause of the fire was said to be an unattended cooking fire.
One apartment suffered fire damage, while three others suffered smoke damage, resulting in an estimated $75,000 in damage.
A total of twelve people have been displaced and are being aided by the American Red Cross.
