An investigation is still open regarding a fatal crash in Menasha over the weekend.
The crash occurred at around 8:40 p.m. on New Year’s Eve at the intersection of Washington and River Streets.
Police reports indicate a car, being driven by an 85-year-old individual, was traveling north when they left the roadway and struck the Sonoco Paper Mill.
The driver and their 84-year-old passenger were taken to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Neenah with serious injuries, but the woman did not survive.
The status of the driver is not known at this time.
No names have been released as investigators are still looking into the cause of the crash.
