A recent study by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has revealed that Wisconsin holds the second-highest rate of car crashes caused by animals.
The data, spanning from 2017 to the present, indicates that 14% of fatal crashes in the state involved live animals.
Montana claimed the top spot with a rate of 23%.
Wisconsin personal injury attorney John Foy recommends using brighter lights at night, especially since many animals causing accidents are nocturnal.
Foy also advises drivers to remain calm, brake if safe, and avoid swerving when encountering animals on the road.
