The victim in the Christmas Eve shooting in Appleton has been identified.
The Appleton Police Department has revealed that 22-year-old Elijah D. Dodson of Milwaukee was shot in the 100 block of South Walnut Street at around 2:00 a.m.
Police performed first aid on Dodson, and EMS took him to a local hospital, but his injuries were too severe, and he passed away.
An autopsy was performed at the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office earlier this week, but no additional results have been released.
