A competency hearing has been ordered for early next year for a man accused of attempting to meet a minor for sex.
36-year-old Heath Grebe was arrested in September after a group known as Bikers Against Predators conducted a sting operation where they posed as a child online.
Grebe made contact with the individual he believed was a 13-year-old girl, and according to the group, he made many sexual comments and set up a time and place to meet the girl.
When the Bikers showed up at the meet instead of the girl, Grebe apologized repeatedly, admitting he messed up.
The entire interaction was filmed by the Bikers, and Grebe was arrested shortly after on charges of Attempted 2nd Degree Sexual Assault of a Child and Using a Computer to Facilitate a Child Sex Crime.
He is due back in court on January 3rd for a competency hearing.
