A 17-year-old suspect is in custody after allegedly starting a fire at the Sparta Walmart.
Surveillance footage captured flames engulfing the store’s fabric section, causing approximately seven million dollars in damages.
The unnamed individual faces arson charges and is currently held at the Monroe County Jail.
No injuries were reported, and the reopening date for the Sparta Walmart remains uncertain.
