Those who traveled by car over the holiday weekend received a little stocking stuffer at the gas pump.
According to the AAA Gas Prices webpage, fuel costs in Eastern Wisconsin were down this week for the 15th week in a row.
Manitowoc County’s average is down to $2.76 per gallon, which is five cents cheaper than it was this time last week and is the lowest it has been all year.
Meanwhile, Sheboygan County reported a drop of seven cents to $2.73, and Calumet County saw a drop of just one penny to $2.74.
Outagamie County motorists must have been really good this year, as they saw a nine-cent drop since last week, now averaging $2.58 per gallon.
Brown County’s average dipped five cents to $2.77, while Kewaunee County’s is down three cents to $2.75, and Door County saw a one-cent drop to $2.71.
The state average also went down three cents to $2.72, while the national average actually rose four cents to $3.12.
