The Appleton Police Department is looking into what led to the death of an unnamed individual on Christmas Eve.
Officers were called to the 100 block of South Walnut Street just after 2:00 a.m. on Saturday, where they found a 22-year-old male with a gunshot wound.
They immediately began rendering first aid while EMS arrived. The unnamed individual was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
An investigation is currently underway, but as of this morning, no arrests have been made.
