State Assembly Speaker Robin Vos is proposing a tax cut for Wisconsin residents following a $4 billion budget surplus.
Vos stated that a proposal in January will focus on tax relief for citizens of retirement age.
Earlier attempts at tax breaks for individuals earning up to approximately $300,000 were vetoed by Governor Tony Evers.
The governor had expressed support for cuts benefiting those making less than $100,000 annually prior to the budget proposal.
