The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) is not issuing citations to UW Health following a comprehensive survey and review.
The investigation was initiated after nurses raised concerns about patient safety due to high staff turnover.
UW Health CEO Dr. Alan Kaplan received a DHS report stating that the nurses’ claims were “not substantiated.”
Despite this, the UW Health nurses’ union maintains that their patient safety concerns have not been adequately addressed, though they are yet to review the report.
