An area football player will be playing college football at Wisconsin.
Landon Gauthier, who played linebacker for Bay Port, has signed a national letter of intent to play for the Badgers under coach Luke Fickell.
During his senior season, Gauthier accounted for 66 tackles and 5 sacks, helping lead his Pirates team to an 8-3 season before being eliminated in the second round of the playoffs.
The Badgers even posted on their X account a short highlight reel of Gauthier, welcoming him to the “Badger family.”
