Many municipalities are suffering from a housing shortage.
This is a problem that Pelton Builders will be addressing with a recently approved housing development on the south side of Sheboygan.
The Reedsburg-based company presented its plan, which spans 274 acres east of Moenning Road, to the City’s Finance and Personnel Committee, which gave their approval last week.
The proposal would find an estimated 2,000 mixed-income units being built in that area.
The company also plans to include some small-scale retail stores in the area, making it a self-sustaining community.
The project will go before the full Common Council at a later date for final approval.
