The City of Green Bay is looking to help homeowners prevent flood damage.
The City recently introduced the East River Flood Mitigation Grant program, which will allow certain homeowners to apply for up to $10,000 in grants aimed at flood prevention.
The program is specifically for homeowners who live along a specific section of the East River, an area that was heavily affected by flooding in 2019.
Property owners must also have proof of current flood insurance at the time of grant application, and the program only applies to existing structures.
