Wisconsin is set to receive $414 million for enhancing wastewater and stormwater infrastructure in smaller and more disadvantaged communities.
Governor Tony Evers and the Department of Natural Resources will allocate $56 million in principal forgiveness, with the remaining amount provided through reduced-interest-rate loans.
The funding aims to support projects that reduce phosphorus discharges and replace outdated equipment.
