Wisconsin State Patrol has announced an increased presence of troopers on the roads from today until New Year’s Day to address the higher incidence of impaired driving during the holiday season.
In the last two weeks of 2022, 470 crashes involving drunk drivers resulted in five fatalities and 178 injuries.
State Patrol encourages the use of designated sober drivers or rideshare options for those celebrating with alcohol.
