Charges have been filed against the daughter of a Green Bay woman police say was forced to live in putrid conditions.
38-year-old Elizabeth Drake is facing charges of Intentionally Subjecting an Individual at Risk to Abuse Causing Bodily Harm after a delivery driver heard calls for help coming from inside a home.
Officers arrived at the Vroman Street address and noted a strong smell described as a mix of “animal, garbage, urine, and feces.”
When officers made their way through the severely unkempt home, they found Drake’s mother in a bed covered in bugs and caked on excrement.
The woman was carried out of the house and was noted to have sores, bug droppings on her, and “urine material” stuck to her hair.
The victim told officers that her daughter, Drake, was caring for her but hadn’t moved her from the bed in at least a year.
Not only did Drake not show remorse, but she also allegedly told police she was “happy this happened” because she wanted her mother out of her life so she could “continue doing whatever she wanted to do.”
Drake is due back in court on January 3rd for a preliminary hearing.
