Christmas comes to Two Rivers this weekend.
Cool City Christmas starts at Central Park West at noon and goes on until 6:00 p.m. Saturday (December 16th).
The event includes free skating rentals if you want to use the new skating loop, along with music from the Two Rivers High School choir.
Santa will be on hand along with his elves and two of his reindeer. You can stop by the Rotary tent and make an ornament, plus Two Rivers Police K9 Xanti and his handler, Officer Andy Lane, will be there to explain the department’s K9 program.
There will be a vendor fair at the Community House as well. Finally, Ms. Claus will be at the Washington House for pictures, and kids will be able to write a letter to Santa.
Before Cool City Christmas kicks off, the City-to-City Candy Cane Hunt takes place from 9:00 to 3:00 p.m.
It’s where people can go from park to park in Two Rivers and Manitowoc to search for candy canes hidden in the parks to be eligible for a prize.
The city is also encouraging people to shop locally at downtown businesses while enjoying both events.
